Leawood Rotary Club members and friends were treated to a delicious and enlightening evening thanks to the social committee and Overland Park Historical Society's Discover O.P. The club historian, Brad Moore, directs this organization's efforts to pass along our neighboring city's fascinating history. President Rod Pemberton presented a check on behalf of the club to help continue this good work.

The ladies of Leawood Rotary gathered to play Mahjong recently. Developed in Southern China during the mid-1800s, it evolved from earlier Chinese card and domino games. The game's name, meaning "sparrow" in southern Chinese dialects, refers to the bird-like clacking sound of the tiles during play. Ready to join in the fun? The Back to the '60s Gathering for Good - supporting the Annual Fund of the Rotary Foundation - was the place to be Saturday night! Several members of Leawood Rotary helped raise funds with auctions, trivia, and 60's-themed fun!
