Leawood Rotary Annual Picnic

The Leawood Rotary Club knows how to have fun! On September 18, the club hosted its Annual Picnic at the Sharp’s Homestead!!! A big thanks to everyone who worked to make this event a total SUCCESS!  A trivial question came out of this event: Can you name the Rotarians who decided to climb onto the roof of the barn????  Sara – thanks again for the excellent photography work!

Christmas In October

Leawood Rotarians keep making a difference!! Our Christmas in October event saw Rotarians provide a much-needed facelift for a grateful KC resident – Rita Smith.

Fireside Chat

The Leawood Rotary hosted a “Fireside Chat” with a real fireplace – by the way, that’s Jake with a fine smoking pipe in his hand!  The event’s goal is to formally welcome and celebrate new Rotarians and get them involved in volunteer opportunities. Thank you, Chuck and Rick, for your leadership! A big thanks to our mentors and the Leawood Rotary Club for making us feel welcome.
Events with Leawood Rotary
On Wednesday, May 18th, the Wine Affinity group met at the home of Lisa May! The theme was wines from South America.
The winner of the best wine was Esther Udell!

An added surprise to the evening was a pontoon boat cruise, perfect weather and a perfect evening!

Women's Social! Another wonderful Event!!  On September 30, the women’s social took place at the home of Roxanne Kerr. The idyllic setting around Roxanne’s beautiful pool combined with the beautiful evening weather was perfect. The ladies hope to have their second social in early January. Thank you to all that attended this memorable evening.
Leawood Rotary participated in supporting Project C.U.R.E. - one of the world's largest nonprofit organizations that deliver medical supplies and equipment to developing countries.
The Leawood Rotary Club presented Mayor Peggy Dunn with a check for the Leawood Trail restroom project. This project has been underway for some time now and we are very excited to help the community and can't wait for this to be completed!
